Leanne has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of South Florida teaching Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting. In addition, she has taught at various governmental conferences and currently serves as a Special Reviewer for the Government Finance Officer Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
Leanne is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as a Masters in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Florida and Mississippi. She is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) further proving her ability to “guide critical business decisions and drive strong business performance”.
Born and raised in the sunshine state, Leanne moved to Mississippi in February of 2015. Remaining true to her roots, Leanne’s spare time consists of fishing, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband of 23 years, John Reese. Being an avid sports fan, her favorite time of the year is college football season.
Dedicated to both her profession and her community, Leanne has served on the boards of the Women’s Resource Center, Inc. and the Community Coalition for Homelessness of Manatee County Inc. located in Florida. Leanne looks forward to becoming actively involved in various Hattiesburg community efforts.
